The Joke Was On Us

Today we thought we were going to a cool airshow on Ford Island. Although it wasn't quite what we thought it would be. See it was called "The Biggest Littlest Airshow"....and that was exactly what it was to our surprise. We actually thought it was really fun to watch. These little planes did all the same tricks as a big plane. They even traveled at 150mph and they look so real when they fly.

Our Summer is Officially Over

Today was the first day back to school.;)
Its been a anticipating school year because our kindergartner was suppose to have done kindergartner over as of about three weeks ago. But little did Lucy know she made phenomenal progress this summer, so the principal called me about week before school started to tell us she made all her benchmarks. She is moving on to first grade.
I love Lucy's teacher (as of now), she seems almost like a pre-1st grade class. I took Lucy to class this morning and as I was leaving I couldn't help but do a little how down dance to the "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" song her teacher turned on. Luckily Lucy was the only one who saw me...and of course couldn't contain herself. I decided I better leave!
Kya is going on to 2nd grade. He really wants to be a Lehua Star this year. So yesterday we talked about what habits he had to change to do that. No more talking in class, no more whistling in class while doing his work, and finish his work in a timely fashion. They seem to be easy goals, although today he already had to be told to stop talking and stop whistling. Poor kid takes after me with the talking in class thing and Jeremy with the whistling problem. I can't whistle anything!
The sad part today was neither one of my kids wanted me to walk them to their classes.......although I kind of had to because I had ALL there school supplies. Lucy let me take a picture of her before I left the classroom....Kya didn't want to have anything to do with that idea
